Tech/Books

Here is a list of websites I made for the staff in my building.  I collected sites for all grade levels and subjects.  There is so much out there for kids to use on the internet!

I am a HUGE techie oriented person!  I use different forms of technology everyday in my classroom and since the world runs on so much technology, I think it is important to teach my Kinder. kids some of the basics (sometimes they do teach me!).  I have been lucky enough to participate in several technology academies that my township has offered over the last 8 years that I have been there. During these academies (they are 1 week long during the summer) we receive training about the newest Macintosh programs and ways we can use them.  We have a big focus on preparing children for the future in Math and Science, so we have had academies on those topics as well as just a general Technology academy.  We always receive a new piece of technology to help us on our way.  In return, we meet several times per year and share what we have been doing.  This is open to teachers form K-12, so we get lots of great cross-grade level sharing happening.  Out of these academies, I have created all my 5E Inquiry Based lessons, many math lessons using our daily guide for math instruction, and have integrated many uses of technology.  I will keep many of those lessons here for you to see.

These are great cards I made to help fill time when you are standing in line.  You put them into those clear name tag necklaces (with the thin white bungee type cording), and either wear one or have your students each wear one.  When you have some time to fill, you walk down your line asking your students the answer to the question.  If you see blank areas, you will need to fill in with stickers or pictures according to the question–nothing to difficult!
